Work out the minimum before estimating the hours
At the two-mover rate, three hours produces an hourly-charge subtotal of $345 with cash or $375 with a card. This is a rate illustration, not an estimate for a particular job or a promise about completion time. Applicable gas fees, driving-time rules, extra materials and the actual work can change the full quote.
A short drive does not describe the whole move. A third-floor walk-up and a long carry can take more work than a ground-floor apartment a few neighborhoods away. Tell us about those conditions when you request a small-move quote.
Make a short list that leaves nothing out
List the furniture and roughly how many packed boxes are moving. Identify the pieces that need disassembly and say whether you want them reassembled. A photo of the bed frame or large desk can be more helpful than the product name.
Also say what is staying. A room photo can show furniture you are selling or leaving behind, and we should not have to guess which items belong on the move. If you expect to add storage bins or garage items later, include them in the request now.

Keep the truck's path clear
Pack boxes that can be lifted and carried safely. Label the room on the side as well as the top, and keep the hallway open. Put essentials you want to carry yourself in a separate place so they do not join the load.
At the new address, decide where the large furniture belongs before unloading starts. A quick room sketch is enough. Repeatedly moving a bed or sofa after it is placed uses time you could spend getting settled.
If your building has a reserved elevator window, confirm that the moving arrangement fits it. Ask management which entrance the truck and crew can use. Splendid Moving can provide a COI on request; the building's approval is a separate step.
Choose packing help deliberately
Packing and unpacking labor can be included in the work you ask us to do. If you want help, identify the rooms or items in advance. A kitchen that is still in the cabinets is a different request from a kitchen already in labeled boxes.
